EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION for SECURITY is a scientific society conducting research and promoting science of safety (securitology). EAS was established during Cracow conference on 12th May 2000 and has the status of legal person. The Association’s purpose is education for people’s and companies’ safety in common Europe. Address, articles of association, list of members and other documents are available at www.eas.info.pl. Main aim of the Association is education for security of people and companies in united Europe. Association achieves its aims through educational activities, consulting, popularising activities, publishing, as well as organising scientific conferences, meetings and discussions; courses, the exchange of information, financing scientific and educational scholarships, the assessment of activities for protection from dangers, the assessment of the safety of installations, recommending organisations and companies working for safety, representing of interests and protecting the rights of its members before state and local government authorities and other parties, shaping social and organisational conditions in order to improve safety, creating the organisational and economic conditions in order to increase the quality of educational services, expressing opinion in matters related to statutory aim of Association. Association organises personalities as well as local and national organisations as well as renown personalities of scientific world and managers from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, engaged in issues of education and safety. In the area of the activity to date, 62 international conferences and scientific seminars can be mentioned which were organized or co-organized by the Association in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary. The curriculum established by the Association is the base of the first, second and third level studies as well as post-graduate studies. Securitology, as a discipline of studies on security, has become a subject of discussion of academic members of universities and academic schools. The International Centre for Special Trainings EAS conducts trainings for security professionals. The publishing house of EAS publishes books and a scientific magazine known internationally Securitologia/Securitology/Секюритология ISSN
